Pretty Vintage Tea Strainer with Drip Cup.

Beautiful red background is handpainted with green buds, periwinkle blue, light pink and white cherry blossom flowers. The handle top and outer rim is trimmed in gold. Red glazed Japanese ceramic.

Manufacturer: Most likely Viking Imports of Japan, although sticker on base has been removed. This item matches similar items with that marking. The blue painted versions usually have a "Not Intended for Food Use" stamped on the base of cup, however yellow and red versions do not.

Manufacture Date: ? Before 2000.

Condition: Used so has some fading and light paint loss on painted side and discoloration on base of strainer where it sat on tea cup. No chips but has some imperfections in construction. See photos for accurate detailed view.

Size: Strainer is 4 inches across in length, 3 inches wide. Base is 2.5 inches diamer by 1 inch tall.

Caution: to avoid fading and scratching to design area it is recommended to gently hand wash these dishes without abrasive pad or cleaners and NOT put them in the dishwasher.
