Custom Vintage Curtain Set of Four Owls & Trees Mid Century

Sweet Mod Set of Four Curtains--Two Valance and Two Half Window/Small Window.

These vintage items are overall in very good vintage condition and made of a crisp starched cotton and feature and an abstract desgin of owls and trees. I believe these curtains were handmade, or possibly for a custom order. They are machine stitched with a fine straight stitch. They may have been made for a camper or childs bedroom.

Set includes four flat curtain panels total, all rectangular in shape.

Hang Style: Rod Pockets on top and bottom.

Manufacturer: These curtains are well made by hand. Each valance is two pieces careufully sewn together to get the desired length, and each larger panel is comprised of three pieces carefully sewn together: see photo.

Date: Best guess: 1950s.

Pattern: Mid Century Abstract design features square blue owls and pink red and brown trees outlined with black and blue.

Fabric: Lightweight but crisp cotton, starched. Hangs well, not wrinkled. The fabric may be Japanese, or feature a Japanese design, but no fabric manufacture printing is visible on fabric. These curtain allow some filtered light to pass through, light to medium weight.

Size of Valances (Smaller Panels): 77.5 inches long by 7.25inches tall.
Top rod pocket measures just over 1.5 inches deep, bottom rod pocket is approx 1.5 inches deep.

Condition of Valances: Excellent! They do not appear to have ever been used.

Size of Larger Panels: 86.5 inches wide by 25.5 inches tall.
Top Rod Pocket: 1.75 inches deep, Bottom rod pocket: 1.25 inches deep.

Condition of Large Panels: Very Good, small rust stain on each at very top 2 inches of top rod pocket. Also the top seam has frayed in two places on one of the panels, and one small rust stain on back of curtain. Damage not noticable when curtains are hung with some gathers. See last four photos for damage photos before purchasing. It appears that only one large panel has been lightly used.

No "Vintage" Odor. I did not wash these items.

This set will ship flat in a large bubble mailer, sealed in a new poly bag with silica gel desiccant.
