Beautifully Handmade Souvenir Doll from Poland in her Lalki-Regionalne Traditional Costume.

Date of Manufacture: Best guess is 1970s or 1980s.

Original Label on bottom features handwritten "Poland" and "Lublinanka" along with manufacturer's data.

Condition: EXCELLENT!

Size: The female doll measures approximately 5" tall and is about 3" wide (includes full skirt).

Description: The doll is wearing a traditional national folk costume, featuring a Lalki Region style from the Lublin region, located in southeastern Poland. Ths region is well known for folk art using natural straw. The doll has layers of beautiful cotton garments with amazing attention to detail. Excellent vintage condition and is on a sturdy wooden stand.

The doll is carefully handmade with beautiful fabrics (Muslin, cotton, embroidery ribbon, lace) and has a hand painted paper-mache head with hand painted features. The hands and legs and boots are plastic. Her white hair is braided and adorned with flowers and ribbons.
