A sweet story about a bear who lives in the toy section of a department store where he is admired by a little girl in a pink coat who wants to be his friend. He goes on an adventure to find his lost button and a little girl comes back, uses her saved money to buy him, and takes him home to be her friend. The story is illustrated with gorgeous bright colors and contrasting black outlines, shadows, and crosshatching.

Story and Pictures by Don Freeman. Freeman (1908-1978) was the writer and illustrator of more than 20 children's books. He is best known for his publication of Corduroy first published in 1968.

Condition: Good. A large sticker was removed from the front cover so a little stickiness remains. Small scratches and creases in front and back cover. Color pages are very bright.

Paperback. 32 pages plus cover.

Size: 9 inches across by 7.5 inches tall.
