Vintage Donald Art Company Lithograph By E. M. May Featuring Wildflowers

Framed Lithograph from the Donald Art Co. Inc Features a Quiet Still Life of Herbs and Wildflowers. Signed by Artist and Dated 1981.

Donald Art Company was founded by Donald Bonnist around 1940 remained in business until the 1980s. Through mass production they were able to produce high quality fine art to the general public at affordable prices. Many award-winning artists with International reputations became closely associated with Donald Art and had exclusive contracts. They are now highly collectible.

In addition to prints on paper, DAC produced reproductions on canvas, often textured, looking and feeling very much like an original. Often they were sold packaged in frames,

Condition: Excellent. Frame style is beveled rectangle pf solid wood, with Shabby Chic paint style in brown with purposeful worn spots and black spatter. Glass needs cleaning. Lithograph color is exceptional and bright. One corner of Litho board is slightly crushed but not noticeable once in a frame. Litho board has a brush stroke texture on overall surface.

Some Flowers featured: Lily (orange), Potentilla Chinensis (yellow), purple passionflower, Spoonflower/Pigeon Wings (blue/purple flower in center), grasses.
