SALE! RARE PATTERN Vintage Art Deco Limoges Leonard Bernardaud B & Co 22K Gold Dbl Handled Sauce Server

Lovely replacement piece or vintage art deco gem.

Designer: Leonard Bernardaud. Produced by B & Co, Limoges, France.

Age: Best guess: 1930s. The logo stamp, ink coloring and decorative style are consistant with pieces produced from the 1900-1978. Stamps reads: "B & Co. L. (Green ink) Bernardaud & Co. Made in Limoges, France (Red ink)". The pattern itself has Art Deco elements.

Bowl Style: Double Handled, attached underplate.

Embellishment: Handpainted floral and geometric design, wirh embossed 22K gold trim on top exterior of bowl, handles, and along base near underplate. Style is done in bands of pink roses, repeating links of geometric shapes, colors are soft pastels: light and dark pink, bright blues, mint green, yellow, light brown, accented with shiny 22K gold.

Condition: Good for age. Approximately 1 inch chip out of base (see photos), some discoloring inside interior rim and along outer edge of bowl's top and outer edge of underplate. Medium loss of gold paint along exterior top bowl rim and along outer gold edge of underplate (see photos). This is consistant with age and use, as these are where the server would hold onto the dish. Small dimples found in a few places in the ceramic. All glazing still intact except in area of base chip. Interior is very clean except for top discoloration from use.
